Both top business office posts have turned over in 2025
Another key post has now been filled in the North Penn School District cabinet.
District officials have announced the hiring of Mary White to be the district’s new assistant director of business administration with a unanimous vote by the school board.
White will be the final new arrival in a business office that has turned over its top two positions since the start of the year. Longtime CFO Steve Skrocki retired effective in April after just over a decade in the district, and Assistant Director of Business Administration Ron Linke left effective Jan. 2 from the post he held since 2022. In early January the board approved an agreement with Kristin Johnson, Linke’s predecessor, to fill the role part-time while the board sought to fill the two posts.
The board named Tara B.G. Houser, who held a similar post in the Central Bucks School District, to the CFO post in January with an estimated start date of June 1. Interim CFO Chuck Linderman hasnmade several monthly budget presentations, while interim Assistant Director of Business Administration Zachary Trump presented to the board in February on the possible impact of potential federal funding cuts.
White arrives at North Penn with decades of experience, most recently as the compliance coordinator for Owen J. Roberts School District, a position she held for over 20 years, the district said in a statement last week.
During the board’s April 8 action meeting, that group voted unanimously to name Houser to be the board’s non-member treasurer for the rest of the one-year term ending June 30 to fill a signatory role that had been held by Linke, and on May 6 voted to name Houser to the same role for a term running through June 2029.
“Tara is currently the treasurer, and she’s joining us next week actually,” district Superintendent Todd Bauer said.
The superintendent and board also added farewells to Linderman, along with a round of applause and thanks for filling the role during budget season.
North Penn’s finance committee next meets at 6 p.m. on May 21 and the full school board next meets at 7 p.m. on May 15; for more information visit www.NPenn.org.
